writing memorized letter or essay ?

hi,
what if you write the same "essay points" in exam on a topic as you read somewhere over the internet or seen in @Ryan video or use "exact same story for letter writing" but in ur own words, if you are lucky to get a repeated writing task
?
will it effect your marks ??
i know writing the exact same words will cost us marks but i am taking about using the "exact same points in essay OR using same made up story in a letter"
e.g, a letter requesting to change Study Course, i read story of a model letter in which a "language barrier" was made excuse to to change the study course, can i use the same story in my letter without a threat to lose marks ?
or
for an argument essay on topic "Globalization effects" someone pointed out 3 points to go against the topic, can i use the exact same points in my own words ?
