The media pay too much attention to the lives and relationships of celebrities such as actors, singers or footballers. They should spend more time reporting the lives of ordinary people instead.
To what extent do you agree or disagree?
Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experiences.

Nowadays, when people read newspapers, magazines or access news and information of all kinds, they clearly see that the most media reported about the private lives of celebrities. Ordinary people, on the other hand, are rarely in the news and they should be reported more by the media. As far as I am concerned, I cannot agree more with the statement.

That the media report too much about celebrities lives has a lot of effects. The first effect is that the private lives were affected so they cannot do normal things like hang out with friends, go shopping, etc. Secondly, celebrities will not feel comfortable when they are followed everywhere by paparazzi. Thirdly, people should spend more time for their life but not celebrities lives in order not to waste their time. They need to focus on other news which is useful for them.

On the other hand, the media should report more about ordinary people. People who have done the charity or community work should be reported by the newspaper in order to encourage them, in addition, it will have good effects to society. They may suggest, for example, that a fireman who rescues many people from a burning building or a businessman who has raised money for charity should be reported. After all, many celebrities do not actually do very much and some of them are only famous because they are married to other famous people or they have too many scandals.

It is certainly true that the media focus too much on celebrities lives. In my opinion, the media should be had by ordinary people in the media in order to have good effects to society.
