Today, the quality of life in large cities is decreasing. Discuss the causes and solutions
It has been noted that, at present, the quality of life in large cities is decreasing. I think the quality of life includes city traffic, privacy of people, and air quality. While there are many causes for this decrease, there are also viable solutions.
The decrease in the quality of life is the result of several factors. Firstly, the congestion of traffic can cause this decrease. For example, more and more people purchase cars while the population of large cities are increasing, so people spend more and more time driving to and from their destination. Secondly, as more and more people move into cities, the density in the distribution of people becomes higher. It may lead to overcrowding and a decrease in privacy which will cause discomfort among people. Lastly, with the development of cites, more and more industries will be built and the gas emissions will pollute the air, making life less comfortable. Therefore, it is for these reasons that the quality of life in large cities on the decrease.
Some solutions can be applied to improve the quality of life in big cities. To begin, the use of alternate forms of transportation, such as light rail, subways, streetcars, and even bicycles, can be provided to ease the congestion of traffic. Also, people can move out of over-crowded areas to quieter, less dense locations to live more comfortably. Finally, the emission of gases can be reduced by government mandated laws to minimize the release of pollutants. As people come to realize the consequences of a lowered quality of life, solutions will found.
All in all, congestion of traffic, overcrowding, and a decrease in air quality are the causes of decreasing quality of life in large cities. There are innovative solutions that can be found to solve these problems and society must work together to implement these ideas.
