Schools are not necessary because children can get so much information available through internet, and they can study just as well at home. What extent do you agree or disagree?
It is acknowledged that the internet plays an increasing pivotal role in our lives. Some people even think that it is not necessary for children studying at school as they can have access to massive information via the internet and achieve the same result by studying at home. In my opinion, I would not go alone with them and I state that the schools are still essential to the study of children.
On the one hand, the internet has a certain of benefits to the studying at home for there are massive information readily available online. As children can easily find out both academic and extra-curricular knowledge online by grasping some basic computer skills, it is beneficial to borden their vision and enrich their knowledge. Also, by searching these knowledge, children’s self-study abilities could be advanced which is beneficial to their study at colleges where supervision on study form teachers is not strict and self-study becomes more important.
On the other hand, schools can provide children with benefits that internet could not achieve. For one thing, students can be supervised properly and receive feedback on study immediately from their teachers. Math questions for example, can be asked during a math lecture and be answered promptly which makes students better understand the following lecture. However, children’s studying process could be postponed when they meet questions at home and students in terms of the time and content of study while the lack of supervision at home could cause students to indulge in computer games and violent contents.
For another, students could make progress on communication and social skills by studying at schools. This is because schools provide many opportunities to children to interact with each other, such as discussion within groups and answering questions in class, which trains students how to communicate properly and get alone with peers well. Unlike studying via internet at home, children are less likely to be isolated and unsociable when they interact with peers frequently at schools, which is beneficial to their psychological health.
To conclude, I believe that it is necessary for students to study at schools which cannot be replaced by online study at home. I suggest that parents and teachers need to promote schooling and create better study environment.
Please be kindly give your feedback, this is my recent attempts, my growth in writing is not possible without your help.
