spelling in listening

spelling in listening

if i make a spelling mistake ,how am I penalized?

Full penalty , partial , or none?

I believe you get zero marks, though I am not sure. Sorry I can't be of much help.

Your answer will be marked as incorrect if there is a spelling error. Be consistent with either American or British spelling.

Hi Steakpie,

From the ielts.org website (http://www.ielts.org/test_takers_inform ... ening.aspx):
You will need to transfer your answers to an answer sheet. You will have 10 minutes at the end of the test to do this. You should be careful when writing your answers on the answer sheet because you will lose marks for incorrect spelling and grammar.
From page six of the Information for Candidates booklet (http://www.ielts.org/pdf/information_fo ... ooklet.pdf):
Pay attention to spelling and grammar: you will lose marks for mistakes.
