Some people say that the Internet is making the world smaller by bringing people together. To what extent do you agree that the internet is making it easier for people to communicate with one another?
It is true that in today's world the Internet is playing a central role in communication among people. It makes our life more comfortable in terms of interacting with other people in the same country as well as from different countries.Due to the fact that, thanks to the Internet connection even the longest distances have become smaller, I am completely convinced that in our modern world the notion of “far away” has been eliminated nearly totally.
First of all, online interactions are being utilized in every aspect of our life, including business affairs, governmental discussions and social life. For example, to conduct any business or other formal conference, there is no longer need to gather all the participants together to a particular place, if they are from different countries. Now, they can take place at conferences via online video connections such as Webinar, to discuss any matter and even to make presentations in which diagrams, graphs can be illustrated almost as clearly as live conferences.
Furthermore, social networking sites have made it easier and more accessible for people to talk, text and discuss from overseas with friends and relatives. For instance, sites such as Facebook, Myspace have features which enable its users to talk with friends, make new friends, see one another’s personal information, posts, videos ,photos, etc. Thus , it is on a single click to send messages to the furthest country, and talk via Skype from another country.
To sum up, taking into account all factors above, no one can deny the irreplaceable role of the Internet which has a positive influence on our life. So,I believe that the Internet has, indeed, reduced the efforts needed for communicating and will make it much more easier as new features are invented.
