Hello everybody and Ryan,
My reading score fluctuates between 7.0 and 7.5.However,I need at least 8.0 in this section.
Which is better method to practise:
Just doing practice tests everyday or reading any material for pleasure or as Ryan advised "actively" from newspapers,magazines?

I think all of those strategies are required. You should be regularly engaging practice exams. Keep engaging them until you are hitting band 8+ every time. Be sure to also actively read resources similar to the IELTS (scientific magazines/books, articles related to culture, people, world events, the environment, etc). You should be versed on a variety of topics and be familiar with the vocabulary and colloquial phrases that are used to talk about these topics.
