Please help me with listening section

Hi,
I am new here.
I took a practice test - I do well in the first two sections of listening module, but somehow the last two are very tough. Any tips? It is so hard to listen and read the question (and write down answers, lol) at the same time. Is there any trick that might be useful?
Also with respect to reading ...... I have a problem with false/not given. They both seem so similar sometimes.
So looking for some help. I really need this for immigration.
