ANSWER:

Dear Sir / Madam,
I am writing to you on a subject relating to your advertisement in today’s newspaper for a job working in the city museum shop during the holidays. I think I am an ideal candidate for this position.
Since childhood, I have been very much interested in knowing about history and different cultures. Currently I am pursuing my bachelors in arts with history as my main elective. Due to this I am having a fair amount of knowledge on this subject. Also I am very good at explaining the subject to the audience , this will make me more suitable for your requirement .
If I am selected for this position , this will help me to acquire additional knowledge in my study. Furthermore, with this part time job I will get some financial assistance for my college study.
Hoping for an affirmative response from your side.

Yours faithfully,

AJp
