In recent years, more and more people are choosing to read e-books rather than paper books.
Do the advantages outweigh the disadvantages?
In modern society people are very much interested in reading Electronic Books rather than printed books. However, some people believe that reading paper book gives them more pleasure than e-book. In my point of view, reading digital books brings more advantage than reading paper books because these are easy to buy, read only required and easy to carry.
First and foremost, now a days due to the easy access to the internet, access to e-books has been made lot easier than printed books, people can buy anything from anywhere within a fraction of seconds, for instance, every tom and dick has computer, laptop and smart phones, with which people can download e-book online instead of buying printed book from store. In addition to this, the advancement in internet technology such as cloud based service made publishers to publish only the required content to readers without having to publish the complete book, this led readers to read the necessary content and pay for it without having to buy the complete book. Finally, online library and e-books made people life easier as they can download while travelling and carry without any hassle when compared to paper books.
On the other hand, there are people who think that reading e-book using electronic gadgets would make people unhealthy as they need to focus on mobile or computer screen, for example, most of the people now a days experiencing the vision problem with the use of modern equipment. Furthermore, people may lose their favorite saved e-books due to virus or other technical errors in electronic devices.
In conclusion, both e-books and paper books have pros and cons. But e-books have more advantage than printed version because of its accessibility, read only necessary content and portability.
