Hi! David!
I'm hopeful you haven't gone on holiday yet!
This time I wanna ask if I'm allowed to ask an examiner to change cue-cards in Speaking section?
If I do, will this influence negatively my overall band score?
One of the recent cue-cards was 'Talk about a screwdriver' - I didn't even know the word! I mean I knew what is a screw, what is a driver, but I didn't know the meaning of 'a screwdriver'... If I knew, I would possibly say something (45-60 sec), but...
Or may I ask an examiner to explain what I'm gonna talk about?
Otherwise I would fail the exam!

Re: Change cue-cards?
Hello again, Gelever!
Holiday? I wish!
You can ask the examiner to change the cue card in part 2, but they will refuse. Similarly, the examiner will not explain the question in detail, although they will explain an individual word.
I can assure you that 'talk about a screwdriver' is NOT a question in the real test!
I think that all the part 2 questions are pretty easy for a person with a general experience/knowledge of the world.
All the best,
David
