Question- in some countries children have very strict rules of behaviour, in other countries they are allowed to do almost anything they like, to what extent should children have to follow rules.
Answer.
With the way our society is evolving, children should drift more to the idea of having to follow very strict rules of behavior as this will help to guide their future . However they could be given a very minute opportunity for them to decide what they want for themselves as this will help them become responsible for certain decisions at an early age.
I will start the essay by highlighting the fact that so much freedom exposes a child to information, behaviors and acts that they might not be able to comprehend or understand the implication at their age. This leads them to a wrong path, hence falling astray as they grow. For example, allowing children access to sex videos and scenes on television and the internet. These children don't have the full grasp of what these act means, they practice such behaviors on themselves leading to them being sexually active at a very tender age, unwanted pregnancies and high risk for sexually transmitted diseases.
Secondly, children might not fully understand the implication, importance and benefits of certain situations. If they were allowed to do as they like, they pick the wrong option and this might be detrimental to them. For instance, in medical procedures, parents take consent on behalf of their children as a child might not comprehend why a certain procedure wants to be carried out on her especially if the child has no pressing or disturbing symptoms.
Nevertheless, they should not be spoon fed all the time. They can be allowed to make some informed decisions or carry out acts under supervision. This will help to groom them for their adult living. for example, a child having pocket money and deciding how this income can be spent. This serves as the beginning of financial independence for this child.
In conclusion, these rules and regulations guide and protect these

children until they are strong enough to be independent, at the same time, they can be allowed to do certain things under the supervision of an adult.
