American English

Hello Ryan,

I have a question reagrding using American English words like "gonna", "gotta","wanna".Does using these words have impact on our sepaking score.I mean if I use this words in speaking,will it raise my score?

Hi Mohammed,

Yes, sounding natural can enhance your score, and the lingo you've shared is very common among native English speakers. However, it is important to remember that these sorts of words will only help if you sound natural while using them. My advice is to avoid overusing this sort of wording. Candidates that try to inject "gonna" in every sentence end up sounding like a preprogrammed robot.

I normally advise treating the exam like a job interview for safety - keep it formal and correct, so I agree with Ryan.
