You recently went to a trip with a friend and you both took some photographs.
Write a letter to your friend. In your letter
- Ask your friend to send you one of the photographs
- Explain why you need this particular photograph
- And tell your friend what happened to your copy of it.

Response:

Dear Josh,

I hope this email finds you in the best of your health and spirits, especially after the tiring Sydney trip.

I am writing this letter to request you to provide me with the group photograph we took at the bondi beach during our fishing venture.

It was the only photograph which had our whole group of friends captured, especially with the beautiful sunset in the background and high waves.

I had to give mine to my mother during my last visit home. She wanted to frame it and add it to our family collection.

I would really appreciate if you can send me a copy of that photograph so that I can relive the moments again.

it seems to me rather too formal. its for your friend to read not your supervisor.
