Hi OnlineEnglishTeacher,
here in Italy to get the IELTS certificate we can do the exam only with the British Council.
The Accademic level allows not only to work but also to study in Universities of English-speaking countries. So i think is the highest level that i can reach here.

Hi Clelia,
Welcome to the forum! I am sure you can find very helpful resource in this forum, and definitely it doesn't cost you much except for your time and your dedication.
Setting the goal as "doing the best as I can" sometime does not work. Firstly, it's hard to know whether you did your best, or your best was just that. Secondly, depending on the country where you wanna go and what type of visa you are going to apply for, the requirement of English proficiency can vary. For example in Australia, in order to immigrate under Skilled Worker Scheme (the name is not exactly), people in my profession (accounting) only need minimum of 7 each band, but I heard people in nursing needed 7.5 to actually apply for a job. So, I would suggest you to look into that first and then decide what score you need to target for. But it is just my opinion!
Anyway, good luck to your studies and hope you will find this forum helpful.
Cheers,
Chi
