In many societies, elderly people often live in retirement homes. This is not appropriate because families should always care for their aging members.
Do you agree?

With the advent of advanced technologies, social liberation and fast paced life, family structures have considerably changed in order to adopt to environment they live in. One of the common family patterns which have emerged these days is that of fewer children, working parents and elder members living in retirement homes. Speaking on the last mentioned trend, despite intuitive beliefs of this being inappropriate as families should always care for aging members, there are some practical reasons for such an arrangement being good for everyone. This essay will discuss two aspects that will show why retirement homes are good for elderly.

Firstly, one of the most difficult enemies of elder people is loneliness that can be avoided in retirement homes. Elderly people can find more people of their generation with whom they can share their feelings and feel more comfortable. For example, my grandparents could never relate to 21st century topics discussed in my home. They were happy in bygone nostalgia and could mingle among the people of their generation. Such a company of preferred to being easily available in retirement homes helps their mental health to be in a very good shape.
Secondly, elderly people need specialized care which they can feel confident about. Retirement homes are well equipped with such professionals who take care of such minute needs and deliver them to elderly people in the most efficient way. This is almost not perfectly possible in family as family members are busy with creation of their career. Thus, retirement homes become an integral part for well being of elderly people.

Having discussed above two aspects of companionship and care, it is plausible that retirement homes are rather better options for aging people. So the taboo of retirement homes should be erased and recognized as necessary social organisations in our society.

Hello,

I am appearing for IELTS exam on 12th December. Please go through the essay and give valuable feedback with improvements needed.

Nowadays, whether money should be given to children or not has sparked a heated debate. While some people believe that money should be given to children to learn how to use it efficiently, others refute this. I firmly believe that children should be given some money periodically. This essay will discuss how this trend helps not only in shaping one’s life as an insightful individual, but also in making one to be an important citizen for raising their country’s economy.

Firstly, giving money to children create s a platform of money management for them. If children are given money, they would learn how, where, when and why to use it, and this, as a result, gives a sense of independence which is the obvious feeling required to grow up. For example, in western cultures, children are given pocket money from school age so that they can be self-dependent and learn the financial aspects. Thus, it is clear that giving a small financial help to children is an important part of their upbringing.

Furthermore, if children are aware of financial management, they will come up with better ideas on financial investments by which they can not only enhance their lifestyles, but also can be proved as helping resources for government for strengthening the country’s economy. For example, Late Dhirubhai Ambani, created the history by setting up a huge oil refinery with the basic knowledge of how to make money from oil business and today, 63% of Indian economy relies on his organisation, RIL. Having said this, it is contended that with a basic knowledge of money management, individual can help one’s nation to have a unique identity around the globe.

After discussing the above-mentioned aspects of money management and economy, it is plausible that money should be offered to children. It is expected that every parents around the globe would follow this positive trend.
