Some people think that it is better to educate boys and girls in separate schools. Others, however, believe that boys and girls benefit more from attending mixed schools.
Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.

The comparative significance of combined and separate education is a frequent topic of deliberation when people try to explain various growth of individuals, for instance in education and character. However, in my opinion, while I believe that combined educational institutes are mainly beneficial to the individual’s character, I agree that they have a detrimental effect on student’s education.

With regards to character building, the impact that mixed gender classes have had on the individuals has clear advantages. Firstly, students of both genders are brought together, which strengthens the confidence levels of people in cross gender communication, whereas ion separate gender schools and other educational centers people rarely had the chance to meet or communicate with opposite sex people outside their immediate circle or family. Secondly, such schools also help in the professional development of students as people in their future professions feel increasingly comfortable to work as a team without being intimidated with colleagues of different genders.

On the other hand, the effect that combined schools have had on the educational ground could be seen as negative. Rather than students taking part in their educational endeavours, they are instead seen to be choosing to take more interest in individuals of opposite sex. Consequently, students within their classes are found to be forming more romantic relationships, which leads to distraction from their studies and focus on ambitions in future. Furthermore, mixed education schools tend to become more of a fashion house as students are increasingly interested in glittery and flambouyant attires to impress and lure individuals of different genders.

To conclude, although combine education has developed the character of student, it still has not had the same effect on the educational front. Combined schools should work hard to divert the attention of students to focus on their educational growth and professional development.

Hello!

Introduction - Detrimental to education, but beneficial to character? Sounds interesting!

First main paragraph - It's a common assumption that if children go to single-sex schools, they will not meet members of the opposite gender, but is it really true?

Second main paragraph - Yes, another common argument, but, again, how true is it? As you move on to the fashion point, I begin to wonder if you think that all young people are thinking about 'romance' all the time.

As for the arguments, I find them unconvincing. Clearer evidence would be useful.

All the best,
David
