Writing the two sides of an essay in the introduction

Great to see this blog. I'm doing IELTS academic and I have a question that I'm trying to find the answer for...

When you address one side of an argument, in an essay, in the introduction para as "One school of thought is that " , what can we say for the other side of the argument? Is it correct to say " The other is " or "Another school of thought is that " ...what is the correct way ? Thanks in advance.

Either introduction is correct, as long as there are only two options. If there are more than two schools of thought, the second rendering only is correct.

Thank you very much !!, one more clarification...is it correct to begin the essay with this idiom without saying anything prior to that.
such as :
" One school of thought is that xxxxx and another line of thinking is that XXXXXX "
