Hello everyone,
I am Mohamad from Syria. I am currently living and working in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Planing to immigrate to Geelong, Victoria.
I did my first attempt in IELTS exam general module three months ago. And, I scored 6 overall (L6.5,R5.5,W5.5,S6.5). However, I need band 7 in each in order to support my immigration case.
I did some study in reading and I am now good in it. As I do practice tests and I always score between 7 to 8.
I also bought IELTS general both Task one and two by Ryan Higgins. I just started to practice and I feel like its really making a difference. Any way writing will need a lot of practice and time to make the needed improvement.
After I did some listening practice I found that I don't have problem in detecting the answers. In most, I can get 85 percent of the 40 questions answered correctly. As a conclusion I find that the incorrect spelling put me off the result I aim for.
I would like to start correcting my spelling issues. any ideas from the other members will be much appreciated.
Hello everyone
Re: Hello everyone
Hi Mohamad,
It's very nice to meet you. Thank you for sharing a bit about your situation. It sounds as though you have established a healthy study plan that is producing results. Regarding spelling, have you been actively noting new vocabulary that you come across? Many candidates find it helpful to create a personal dictionary of new terms and phrases they come across. The process of writing the words out can help you commit their spelling to memory.
Good luck,
Ryan
