The graph below shows the unemployment rates in the US and Japan between March 1993
and March 1999.
Write a report for a university lecturer describing the information shown below.
The graph illustrates data about the proportion of people who lost their job or gain new job in two different countries over a period of 6 years
It can be clearly seen that although there was an obvious reducation in the unemployment rate in US ,in Japan the number of people who lost work increased steadily between 1993 and 1999.It is also noticeable that at the end of the period trends came to the same point at around 5 percent.
In 1993 the proportion of unemployed labour force in US was exactly 7% in comparison with Japan,which was only 2.5.Between 1994 and 1998,figures for Japan rose fairly steadily from around 3.7 to approximately 4.5,while US witnessed opposite statistics at that time.Since 1995,the percentage of unemployed labour force saw a decline gradually by 5.Finally,figures for both two countries plateaued with minor falls and rises from 1998 to 1999
and March 1999.
